Bunker Trader – Dubai

We're looking for a driven and proactive bunker trader to grow our client portfolio and manage bunker deals from enquiry to delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow a client portfolio of shipowners, operators, charterers and managers, and build long-term relationships.
• Handle bunker enquiries, source competitive offers from physical suppliers and negotiate prices and terms.
• Close deals and issue confirmations, making sure all terms, specifications and delivery details are accurate.
• Coordinate deliveries with suppliers, agents and vessels, and follow each stem through to completion.
• Monitor market prices, trends and port availability, and advise clients on timing and supply options.
• Make sure all deals meet fuel specification standards (ISO 8217), MARPOL regulations, and KYC and sanctions requirements.
• Handle quality and quantity claims and disputes professionally, together with suppliers and clients.
• Work with finance on credit checks, invoicing and payment follow-ups.
• Keep deal records, client data and the CRM accurate and up to date.
• Identify new business opportunities, markets and supply partners.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years' experience as a bunker trader, ideally in Dubai or the wider Middle East.
• An existing network of clients and suppliers.
• Good knowledge of fuel grades (VLSFO, HSFO, MGO), key bunkering ports (Fujairah, Khor Fakkan, Singapore, etc.) and market pricing.
• Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, target-driven attitude: spots opportunities and acts without waiting to be asked.
• Able to work under pressure and respond quickly, including outside office hours when needed.
• Excellent spoken and written English. Arabic or other languages are a plus.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
