We're looking for an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic Chef to join the kitchen team at Eighty One, our exciting new bar, kitchen and music venue in the heart of Northampton.

Bringing together great food, drinks, music and a lively social atmosphere, Eighty One offers a fresh take on the bar and dining experience, with a little rock 'n' roll and plenty of stateside spirit.

Our American-inspired menu features premium smash burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, pizzas, loaded fries and more, with a focus on quality ingredients, great presentation and consistently high standards.

The Role

We're looking for a confident, experienced chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their food and can deliver consistently during busy services.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking dishes from our menu, including smash burgers, cheesesteaks, pizzas and sides.
• Maintaining excellent standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
• Managing food preparation and ensuring the kitchen is ready for service.
• Working efficiently and confidently during busy periods.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen organisation.
• Following food safety procedures, stock rotation and kitchen standards.
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

What We're Looking For

• Previous professional kitchen experience is essential, ideally in a busy restaurant, bar or casual dining environment.
• Experience preparing burgers, pizzas, grilled food or similar dishes would be an advantage.
• A hardworking, reliable and organised individual with a strong work ethic.
• Confidence working independently and taking responsibility during service.
• The ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising food quality.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures.
• A positive attitude, attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Availability to work Fridays and Saturdays as a minimum.
