Bus Aide

BUS AIDE – Floater 6:10am – 8:00am & 2:00pm – 4:15pm*

• needs to be available until 9:30am or 5pm – may depend on covered schedule

SUMMARY: Assists in providing safe transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Assists the bus driver in maintaining good conduct of all students assigned to the aide.
• Assists young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus.
• Provides basic first aid and administers prescription medications as needed.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
• Demonstrates positive relationship with students, staff and parents.
• Establishes a supportive and empathetic relationship with students.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Student Monitor Permit (may be obtained after employment).
• Must possess valid Ohio driver's license.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Conditions Of Employment

• Effective Date: ASAP
• Terms of Employment: One-year probationary period.
• Hours of Work: 6:10-8:00am AND 2:00 – 4:15pm (approx.. 4 hours)
• Salary and Benefits: According to the current negotiated agreement. $16.25/hour
