POSITION: Bus Driver DEPARTMENT: Transportation

SALARY: Starting wage: $20.40

Reimbursement of pre-employment physical, drug test, background check, and license

endorsement upon completion of training up to $250.

Full-time positions are guaranteed 5.25 hours/day, Monday – Friday

Part-time positions will vary on days and shifts for a.m. and/or p.m.

Job Summary:

Bus Drivers play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students and maintaining a positive

relationship with the school community. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a

commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. We welcome qualified candidates to

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students to and from designated locations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a clean driving record.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Foster a respectful and friendly atmosphere while interacting with co-workers, students, and parents.
• Navigate efficiently using maps to ensure timely and accurate transportation routes.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all stakeholders.
• Comply with all District requirements and Board of Education policies.
• Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations.
• Embrace a flexible work schedule as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required.
• Must have a clean driving record required.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and annual DOT physicals.
• Successful completion of a background check, including fingerprinting.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse individuals.
• Proficient in reading and understanding maps.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work under stress while maintaining professionalism.
