  • Assist passengers with mobility challenges by providing wheelchair assistance and ensuring their secure placement during transit.
  • Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including handling medical emergencies with first aid or CPR when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with passengers using clear instructions and multilingual skills if applicable; address passenger concerns professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage logs, incident reports, and vehicle inspections in accordance with transportation safety regulations.

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport; knowledge of vehicle codes and state/local driving laws.
  • Proven experience in bus driving, school bus driving, transit bus operation or similar roles involving heavy vehicle operation.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, emergency stop procedures, and transportation safety regulations.
  • First aid certification and CPR training to handle medical emergencies confidently.
  • Experience working with children or seniors is highly desirable; ability to provide childcare or senior care as needed.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage behavior effectively in diverse passenger groups.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling equipment; good vision and hearing for safe vehicle operation.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities; familiarity with child discipline policies preferred.
  • Ability to respond quickly to traffic changes or unexpected road conditions while maintaining safety standards.
