Bus Driver (Non-CDL)

Non-CDL Bus Driver - Childcare Center Southwest Washington Learning Center (SWLC) is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Bus Driver to transport school-age children to and from local Vancouver schools. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and values a consistent, part-time schedule.

Schedule Options:

• Morning Route: 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
• Afternoon Route: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Applicants may apply for one or both shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport children to and from designated Vancouver schools using a 15-passenger bus
• Ensure children are properly supervised during loading, transport, and unloading
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate attendance and transportation logs
• Communicate professionally with staff, families, and school personnel
• Follow all Washington State and center safety policies and procedures

Requirements Requirements:

• Must meet Washington State requirements for transporting children in a childcare setting (non-CDL 15-passenger vehicle)
• Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record
• Minimum age of 21 (per childcare transportation standards)
• Ability to pass DCYF background check and meet all pre-service requirements (including TB test and required trainings)
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism
• Ability to supervise children appropriately during transport
