Business Analyst (ASAP)

Ascendion is looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support banking and mobile application projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business and technical requirements gathering, requirements elicitation, Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC, and end-to-end project delivery.

The role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, architects, QA teams, and other technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical requirements and deliverables.

Job Description:

• Convert requirements to epics/stories, define AC, map existing app journeys to super app entrypoints, define scope split (native vs mini app), support SIT/UAT test scenarios and traceability.
• Gather, analyze, and elicit business and functional requirements through stakeholder discussions, workshops, process reviews, and requirement analysis.
• Translate business requirements into Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria (AC), and detailed functional requirements that can be effectively consumed by development and QA teams.
• Define and document project scope, including appropriate scope split between native application capabilities and mini-app implementations.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Proven experience working on banking, financial services, fintech, or mobile application projects.
• Strong background in requirements gathering and elicitation, business process analysis, and functional documentation.
• Hands-on experience converting requirements into Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and functional specifications.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile delivery teams.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and end-to-end software delivery.
• Experience supporting mobile applications, including user journeys, application flows, integrations, and feature scope definition. Experience working with native mobile applications and mini-app architectures.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, API integrations, system interfaces, and data flows.
• Experience supporting SIT/UAT, including test scenario preparation, requirements validation, and requirements traceability.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable requirements for technical teams.
• Knowledge of UML, process mapping, user journey mapping, and wireframing.
• Experience working with banking APIs, digital banking platforms, payment systems, or other financial technology solutions.
