Business Analyst (BA)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Analyst to join our Business Applications team. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into functional and technical requirements.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, facilitating collaboration across teams, and supporting the successful delivery of business application solutions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with cross-functional teams, and a proven ability to drive process improvements and business transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Ensure business requests are clearly defined and thoroughly documented.
• Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable requirements for technical teams.
• Drive discussions between business and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and expected outcomes.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the successful handover of requirements and documentation to development teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Lead requirements scoping and prioritization activities.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams.
• Participate in application and solution reviews to ensure quality and business alignment.
• Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Serve as a functional lead for a portfolio of business applications.
• Provide guidance and support to junior Business Analysts.
• Conduct mentoring, coaching, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Coordinate onboarding and support initiatives for new team members.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, business analysis methodologies, and application development practices.

Compliance & Governance

• Complete required compliance and mandatory training programs.
• Ensure adherence to security, operational, and governance standards.
• Support team awareness and compliance with organizational policies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Master's degree is an advantage.
• Mandatory: 7 to 10 years of Business Analyst experience strictly within the Banking and Financial Services industry. Strong Banking and Financial Services domain expertise with proven experience supporting or delivering AI-driven projects, digital transformation initiatives, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management within banking and finance environments.
• Proven experience working with developers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to design and implement business solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Experience with enterprise applications, digital transformation initiatives, and business process automation is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of design thinking, systems thinking, and business process improvement methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience in banking domains such as Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Lending, Payments, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, or Digital Banking is highly preferred.
