Business Analyst

Role & responsibilities

The Business Analyst Sales will play a key role in driving data-backed decision-making for the retail sales function. This role involves analyzing sales performance, identifying business opportunities, supporting gotomarket strategies, and enabling the sales team with insights and tools to achieve revenue targets. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, deep understanding of retail sales dynamics, and the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.

• Analyze sales performance across channels, regions, and products to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards/reports (Power BI, Tableau, Excel) ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely insights.
• Support retail sales strategy with data-backed inputs on pricing, promotions, product placement, channel mix, and market trends.
• Drive forecasting and planning by collaborating with sales, finance, supply chain, and marketing teams.
• Evaluate effectiveness of retail programs such as promotions, incentives, and campaigns based on ROI and performance metrics.
• Improve sales processes and systems by recommending enhancements and supporting CRM optimization and adoption.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to present insights, validate data, and support leadership decision-making.

Preferred candidate profile

• MBA in Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
• Certifications in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, or related tools are a plus.
• 6-10years of experience in sales analytics preferably from a similar industry
