Business Analyst – IT / Technology

Hybrid | Onsite 3 Days per Week

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support technology initiatives and work closely with business stakeholders, developers, IT teams, and project leadership. This role will lead meetings, gather and document requirements, analyze business and technical needs, and translate information between technical and non-technical teams.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with experience in Agile and/or Waterfall environments, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead discussions and drive requirements to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements-gathering sessions, stakeholder meetings, and project working sessions.
• Partner with business and IT teams to understand needs, systems, processes, and project objectives.
• Gather, analyze, document, and manage business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear documentation for development and technical teams.
• Work closely with developers to clarify requirements, resolve questions, and support project delivery.
• Document current-state/future-state processes, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and/or Waterfall project activities.
• Support UAT, testing, issue resolution, and requirements validation.
• Create professional documentation, presentations, meeting notes, and project updates.
• Identify process gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Information Systems, MIS, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Business Analyst or similar experience supporting IT/software development projects.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Experience leading meetings and facilitating stakeholder discussions.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with developers and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• SDLC and software development experience

• Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
• SQL/data analysis
