BUSINESS ANALYST

Position: Business Analyst

Job Summary

The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting business data to support management decision-making. The position identifies business trends, operational issues, improvement opportunities, and provides data-driven recommendations to improve business performance, efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Data Analysis

• Collect, consolidate, validate, and analyze business and operational data.
• Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
• Analyze sales, costs, productivity, inventory, operational performance, and other relevant business indicators.
• Identify trends, variances, gaps, and opportunities from available data.

2. Business Performance Monitoring

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business targets.
• Compare actual performance against budgets, forecasts, and targets.
• Investigate significant variances and identify possible causes.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management based on analysis.

3. Process & Business Improvement

• Review existing business processes and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Work with different departments to understand operational challenges.
• Support process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze the potential impact of proposed business changes.

4. Forecasting & Planning

• Assist in preparing business forecasts, budgets, and projections.
• Analyze historical data and current market/business conditions to support planning.
• Develop scenarios and financial/operational models when required.
• Provide data to support strategic and operational planning.

5. Management Reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reports.
• Develop management dashboards and data visualizations.
• Present key findings and recommendations to management.
• Ensure reports are based on accurate and validated information.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and other departments to gather required information.
• Clarify business requirements and ensure data is properly understood.
• Support cross-functional projects involving business analysis and process improvement.

7. Business Requirements & Project Support

• Gather and document business requirements for new projects, systems, or process improvements.
• Monitor project progress and assess whether objectives are being achieved.

8. Market & Competitor Analysis

• Monitor relevant market trends, customer behavior, industry developments, and competitor activities.
• Provide insights regarding potential business opportunities and risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Preferably with 2–4 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, financial analysis, operations, or related roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Able to work with multiple departments and manage deadlines.
