What they need

Job Summary

Gather requirements from officers at Headquarters and in the Regional Offices, through meetings and by observing how the work is done today. Write the business and functional requirement documents, use cases, business rules and acceptance criteria, each with a traceable number. Keep a clear record of what has been agreed, what is still open, and what has been assumed - and confirm before treating anything said in a meeting as a requirement. Map the existing process and the revised process for each area under change, and state the impact of the change before it is taken up. Maintain the data dictionary and the definition of every figure that appears in a report, so that two officers reading the same report get the same number. Convert requirements into work items with clear acceptance criteria, and be available to the developers through the sprint. Review what has been built before it goes for user testing, and reject what does not meet the acceptance criteria. Maintain the change and defect register, with the date each item was first raised. Plan user acceptance testing, coordinate it with the Regional Offices, and take the findings to closure. Prepare the user manual and training material, and conduct or support training. Write the minutes of meetings with the Department, and the status reports for project reviews.
