Business Analyst

Role and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
• Work closely with the product team to translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
• Create business process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, and system documentation.
• Work closely with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, Developers, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support solution design by evaluating business needs and recommending practical, scalable solutions.
• Assist with backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization activities in Agile teams.
• Validate delivered solutions to ensure they meet business objectives and acceptance criteria.
• Perform impact analysis for proposed business or system changes and support change management activities.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios and validating business requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure requirements remain up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as the liaison between business and technical teams.
• Support other business analysis and project activities as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience working on software development or digital transformation projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Strong experience in business requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Knowledge of business process modeling techniques and workflow documentation.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development teams.
• Familiarity with Figma, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, or similar collaboration and documentation tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Knowledge of UML or other business modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with version control.
• Experience in process improvement, business transformation, or digital product development.
