The team is currently investing out of Gemspring Capital Fund III, a $1.7 billion buyout fund, and Gemspring Growth Solutions Fund II, a $1.1 billion non-control fund. About the Role

We are looking for a Business Analyst to help us execute strategic and transformational projects across the firm. This is a hands-on role, working directly with our VP, Strategy & Research, focused on leveraging AI tools to reshape and enhance business processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, build, test, implement, and maintain software applications and workflows using AI tools to drive business automation
• Gain significant exposure to the private equity industry, firm operations, and the Microsoft ecosystem (in particular, Microsoft Azure)
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across all departments (investment, research, business development, finance, IT, HR, investor relations, legal & compliance, capital markets)
• Support the execution of ad hoc strategic projects that arise

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with 0-3 years of work experience
• B.S. degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; a keen ability to think logically and tackle complexity / ambiguity
• Demonstrated interest in AI
• Self-starter and hardworking with a desire for continuous development and improvement
• Highly curious and enjoys solving complex problems / puzzles
• Capable of multi-tasking effectively and working in a fast-paced environment
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Passion for investing and financial services
• Must be able to commute to and work in-office in Westport, CT

Nice to Have

• Strong familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Azure)
• Prior work / intern / classroom / project experience with:
• Investing / financial services
• Programming languages / coding
• Using AI
