Business Analyst

Ondato is a leading provider of identity verification, compliance, KYC and KYB solutions, helping businesses streamline onboarding processes and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Know Your Business (KYB) product area and help us turn complex customer, regulatory and operational needs into scalable product solutions.

This role is for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex problems. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Compliance and Operations to understand business needs, identify dependencies and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.

You’ll work across topics such as company verification, business registries, UBO identification, company structures, integrations, business rules and country-specific KYB requirements.

What You'll Do

• Analyze client needs, regulatory requirements, industry trends to define clear KYB product requirements.
• Translate complex business problems into structured functional requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria and edge cases.
• Work closely with Product Managers to explore problems, evaluate solution options and define product improvements .
• Collaborate with engineering, design, operations, and compliance teams throughout discovery and delivery, ensuring shared understanding of requirements.
• Identify dependencies, integration requirements, system constraints and potential impact on existing clients before implementation.
• Define and optimise verification workflows, business rules and decision logic.
• Validate delivered functionality against requirements and acceptance criteria and support successful rollout.
• Maintain clear documentation and support client-facing teams with product knowledge, documentation, and training materials.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in SaaS, fintech, fraud prevention, or compliance).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex  and ambiguous information.
• Experience defining functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows.
• Ability to identify edge cases, dependencies and potential impacts of product changes.
• Understanding of KYB, KYC, AML, business registries or compliance processes is a strong advantage
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools.
