You know pharma Market Access and Pricing inside out. You're the person who can sit with a pricing team, understand what they actually need, and turn it into reporting, dashboards and data solutions that work. And you're curious about AI, not just in theory but in building things with it.

Why you'll want this one

You'll be working on some of the most talked-about topics in pharma right now. MFN (Most Favoured Nation) pricing is high on every leadership agenda, and you'll be the one shaping how it's reported, analysed and automated. Your work will be seen and used.

You'll get real AI work, not just strategy slides. You'll take an already-assessed AI use case and build it into a working prototype: defining it, configuring it, testing it and handing it over. If you've been wanting to add hands-on AI delivery to your CV, this is the project for it.

You'll have genuine freedom. This is an independent engagement with free choice of when and where you work. You'll only need to be on site in Ingelheim once or twice a week for project meetings, and you'll spend the rest of your time working however suits you.

The scope is clear and protected. The priorities, timelines and deliverables are already mapped out, and the brief explicitly excludes unlimited ad-hoc requests and permanent ownership of workstreams. You'll know exactly what success looks like from day one.

You'll also leave a lasting mark. By the end, you'll have set up a documented MFN reporting process, delivered an AI prototype and created the roadmap for the team's future dashboards. You'll be able to point to work that continues long after your contract ends.

What you'll be working on

You'll prepare and improve monthly MFN reports, then design and pilot an automated version. You'll take stock of the existing reports, trackers and dashboards and develop the target-state concept, wireframes and roadmap. You'll support the Pricing & Access Data Systems team with requirements, user acceptance testing materials and training content, and you'll run knowledge-transfer sessions so everything you build stays in good hands.

What you'll bring

You'll have hands-on experience in pharmaceutical Market Access and/or Pricing, along with a strong background as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst or Pricing Analyst. You're comfortable working between business stakeholders, Data & Analytics and IT, and you know how to translate business needs into reporting and technology solutions. You've supported transformations, system rollouts or process improvements in complex, cross-functional environments, and you've been involved in implementing or piloting AI-enabled solutions.

You'll get bonus points if you've worked with Microsoft Copilot, AI agents or process automation, or if you've worked within a global pharma organisation. Fluent English is essential, and German is a nice extra.

The practical bits

This is a six-month freelance contract, and the start date is flexible, so let me know when you'd be available. It's hybrid, with 1–2 days per week on site near Mainz, so it's ideal if you're within about 90 minutes of the Rhine-Main area.
