Business Analyst, WHSE Systems Review Perth (southern suburbs), WA | Initial 3-month contract | Immediate start preferred Active Baseline security clearance required | Some interstate travel required

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a major Work Health, Safety and Environment (WHSE) systems review for a Defence organisation in a complex, highly regulated environment.

You'll be part of a project assessing future WHSE technology options. You'll work with stakeholders from operations, technology, safety, health, risk and leadership to gather business requirements, analyse current processes and help choose the right solution.

The role is based mainly in Perth's southern suburbs, with occasional interstate travel.

What you'll be doing

• Running workshops and stakeholder interviews across multiple business areas
• Capturing and documenting business, functional and non-functional requirements
• Mapping current and future-state processes
• Identifying opportunities to improve and automate processes
• Producing BRDs, use cases, user stories and traceability documentation
• Supporting solution evaluation, vendor assessment and procurement
• Helping with solution validation and user acceptance testing (UAT) planning

What we're looking for

• Active Baseline security clearance (Australian Citizenship required)
• At least 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise technology or transformation projects
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation
• Experience running workshops and working with senior stakeholders
• Ability to turn business needs into clear technical and functional requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable

• Experience with WHSE or safety management systems
• Background in Defence, mining, utilities, infrastructure or other high-risk operational environments
• Experience with systems integration, reporting or business intelligence requirements
• Change management or business transformation experience
