Business Analyst

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a large-scale ERP software/technology modernization project. This role will serve as a link between business operations and technical teams, helping translate complex business needs into clear requirements, improve existing processes, and ensure proposed system solutions support day-to-day operations. Candidates should be comfortable taking ownership of assignments, identifying gaps, and working independently to keep project deliverables moving forward.

This position is full-time and expected to last through early 2027. Onsite in Jackson, MS, with some hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing business processes to identify areas for improvement through process redesign, system enhancements, or automation.
• Work with business teams to understand operational needs and develop requirements for system improvements.
• Create process maps, workflows, and supporting documentation using Visio.
• Convert meeting discussions and project decisions into clearly defined tasks, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain and organize requirements, project documentation, and deliverables for review by business and technical teams.
• Review test cases against business requirements to identify gaps and ensure proposed solutions meet operational needs.
• Research process issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, science, technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or process improvement.
• Experience developing business requirements, process flows, and workflow documentation.
• Proficiency with Visio or similar process mapping tools.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar project tracking systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with business and technical teams.

Compensation

• $45–60/hour, depending on experience.
