Business Analyst (Contract) - Chennai

KONE is embarking upon an exciting growth phase and this represents an opportunity for you to join our Chennai (Vadapalani) team, as Business Analyst. Key objective is helping teams with analytics and make informed decisions. The role works closely with Stream Leads and team members to combine structured thinking, analysis, and practical business understanding into clear insights and recommendations. While data and analytics are important tools, the focus of the role is on problem solving, decision support, and driving business impact**.**

What will you be doing?

• Structure business questions and challenges into clear problem statements and create practical analytical approaches.
• Identify insights, opportunities, risks, and trade-offs to support informed decision-making.
• Support work from analysis and insights through implementation follow-up where applicable.
• Manage project execution, assist in setting up project governance frameworks, and manage multiple stakeholders in a time efficient manner.
• Taking ownership for delivery of sub-workstreams of projects.
• Provide decision making support and recommendations.

Are you the one?

• At least one year of relevant work experience.
• Masters degree (Economics, Engineering, MBA or equivalent) with outstanding academic performance
• Language requirements: fluency in English, other languages a plus
• Motivation and drive to work and deliver results in a fast paced international and multicultural environment.
• Excellent social, negotiation and decision-making skills and an ability to show leadership and take initiative.
• Strong technical skills including PowerPoint & Excel, Excel modeling and financial analyses.
• High degree of flexibility and availability required; ability to respond to project needs outside standard working hours in a transaction-driven environment.
• Prioritizes problem-solving through hypothesis-building and identifies key issues.
• Is resourceful and tenacious in approaching problems.
