Business Analyst – Data & Analytics

We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong knowledge of Data Engineering and Data Analytics to bridge business needs and data solutions.

This role will work closely with Business Users, Data Engineers and Data Analysts to understand business requirements, translate them into actionable data requirements, and support the design, validation, and delivery of data solutions that enable better business insights and decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis capabilities with a solid understanding of data architecture, data pipelines, analytics, and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements from business users and key stakeholders.
• Analyze business processes and translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, data requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to define data sources, data integration requirements, and data transformation needs.
• Apply a working understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data warehouses, and data modeling to effectively communicate requirements with Data Engineering teams.
• Use SQL to query, validate, and reconcile data to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support business decision-making.
• Define business metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirements, and collaborate with relevant teams to develop dashboards and reports.
• Work with data visualization and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.
• Support data quality assessment and coordinate with business and technical teams to identify and resolve data-related issues.
• Prepare test scenarios and test cases and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for data and analytics solutions.
• Prepare relevant documentation and act as a key liaison between Business Users and Technical/Data teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or data-related projects.
• Strong requirements gathering and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business needs into functional and data requirements.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation.
• Good understanding of databases, data modeling, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT concepts.
• Experience with or knowledge of data visualization and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with Data Engineering, Data Analytics teams, or Data Platform projects would be an advantage.
