Business Analyst – Investment & Asset Management

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join an Investment team within a leading financial institution in Brussels.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in Investment, Asset Management, Securities or Financial Services who enjoys working at the intersection of business, processes and IT.

You will play a key role in analysing and improving investment-related processes, while working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate business needs into practical solutions.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical and curious, with enough experience to operate independently, but who is still close to the business and enjoys being involved in the details.

What you will do

• Analyse and support investment and transactional processes, including orders, payments and securities flows.

• Act as the link between business stakeholders and IT teams.

• Gather, analyse and challenge business requirements.

• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and solutions.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows and systems.

• Support testing, implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Document processes, requirements and business decisions.

• Work with different stakeholders across Investment, Operations, IT and other functions.

• Contribute to knowledge transfer and process continuity within the Investment organisation.

Must-have

• 4–7 years of relevant professional experience, ideally as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst or similar.

• Experience in Investment, Asset Management, Securities, Banking or Financial Services.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience gathering and challenging business requirements.

• Comfortable working between business and IT.

• Good understanding of financial processes and/or investment products.

• Fluent Dutch and English.
