Business Analyst - Technical

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, and Delivery teams to ensure solutions are aligned with requirements and quality standards.
• Support solution design activities by recommending scalable, performant, and maintainable technology solutions.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, technical specifications, and process documentation.
• Support system testing, defect analysis, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and issue resolution.
• Facilitate communication between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to enhance business efficiency through technology.
• Assist project delivery by ensuring requirements traceability and successful implementation of technology initiatives.

Mandatory Skills

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role within an IT/software development environment.
• Strong understanding of API-driven architectures and system integrations.
• Knowledge of system and application architecture concepts.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and database querying.
• Experience working within DevOps environments and delivery processes.
• Strong requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation skills.
• Ability to create technical specifications, functional specifications, user stories, and process diagrams.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience using requirement management and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide actionable insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

Desirable Skills

• Experience supporting cloud-based applications and integration platforms.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and enterprise application integration.
• Experience in stakeholder management across multiple business functions.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, UAT coordination, and defect management processes.
• Experience in process improvement and business process optimisation initiatives.
• Relevant certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum, or related domains.
