Business Analyst - Tester

Experience Requirements

• Bachelors or master’s degree in IT
• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience and proven track record working with distributed delivery teams across geographies
• Technology acquaintances: COBOL, SQL, APIs
• Experience in a private banking environment is a plus
• Good knowledge of Wealth Management and portfolio-related processes, ideally including portfolio statements or client reporting.
• Hands-on experience with testing activities (test design, execution, defect management) and a quality-first mindset; ability to drive functional validation end-to-end.
• Proven experience working in build or transformation teams, interacting with business, IT, QA, and operations, and ensuring quality across deliveries.
• Previous experience with international teams and/or coordinating UAT with distributed stakeholders is highly appreciated.

Description Of The Position And Its Mission Role - general description

The Business Analyst works in liaison with business stakeholders to understand business problems and opportunities in the context of translating complex business needs into technology supported business solutions and recommend solutions that enable them to achieve business goals.

He/she contributes to the development and execution of the project plan and is therefore involved throughout the project life cycle, from functional definition, analysis and design, testing and deployment. This position combines Business Analyst and Quality Assurance responsibilities. The candidate will drive requirements and functional specifications and take an active role in ensuring delivery quality through test design/execution, defect management, and support to UAT.

Key responsibilities

• Running workshops with business users and client stakeholders to clarify scope, rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Translating business needs into clear and detailed functional specifications (incl. edge cases, data rules, and testable acceptance criteria) for development teams.
• Defining and executing functional, regression, and integration tests; documenting results and ensuring traceability to requirements.
• Managing defects end-to-end (triage, prioritization with stakeholders, follow-up with developers) and ensuring timely retesting until closure.
• Preparing and coordinating UAT with business/users (test data, scenarios, support) and contributing to release readiness (go/no-go input, production verification, documentation).
• Ownership of Artifacts & Collaborative documentation across all phases of project life cycle.
• Contribute to preparation of Test Strategy and Test Plan (functional, regression, peripheral testing).
• Contribute to post Go-live checks covering core and external systems impacted.
