This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Analytics Advisor – Clinical Analytics based in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to use advanced analytics and health services research to improve how healthcare programs are designed, evaluated, and delivered.

You will lead complex analytical initiatives that demonstrate measurable impact across cost, quality, clinical outcomes, and patient experiences.

Working with large and complex healthcare datasets, you’ll apply rigorous research methodologies, statistical models, and predictive techniques to uncover meaningful insights.

Your findings will directly inform clinical programs, product strategies, and business decisions across a highly collaborative environment.

You’ll partner with clinical, operations, product, pharmacy, and behavioral health stakeholders to translate analytical questions into effective research and testing strategies.

A key part of the role will be communicating sophisticated findings in clear, compelling ways that influence both technical and non-technical audiences.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced healthcare analytics professional who wants to turn data and research into tangible improvements in healthcare delivery.

Accountabilities

  • Lead complex analytics initiatives evaluating clinical programs and solutions, establishing clear evidence of value across cost, quality, outcomes, and other relevant measures.
  • Design and execute rigorous health services research and program evaluation methodologies, including systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, matched case-control studies, and experimental or quasi-experimental designs.
  • Develop and apply statistical and predictive models to assess risk, understand behavioral changes, identify opportunities for improvement, and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets and translate complex findings into actionable insights and recommendations for clinical, business, and strategic leaders.
  • Partner with stakeholders across clinical, operations, product, pharmacy, behavioral health, and other functions to define analytical strategies, evaluation frameworks, and testing plans.
  • Communicate research and analytical results through clear data storytelling, presentations, and recommendations tailored to non-technical and executive audiences.
  • Establish and uphold rigorous analytical standards, methodologies, and quality practices to ensure insights are reliable and suitable for driving meaningful improvements.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and the advancement of analytics practices through research, presentations, publications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in biostatistics, epidemiology, health economics, health services research, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in healthcare analytics, data science, outcomes research, health services research, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, applied analytics, evaluation research design, and evidence-based methodologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming or analytics language, such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Hands-on experience working with healthcare datasets, including claims data, utilization information, diagnostic codes, or comparable sources.
  • Experience applying analytical techniques to complex healthcare or clinical questions and translating results into practical business or clinical recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently on complex and ambiguous challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated analytical concepts clearly to technical, clinical, business, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a matrixed, cross-functional environment and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Preferred experience with program evaluation, outcomes research, or health services research methodologies.
  • Experience presenting analytical findings through publications, conferences, presentations, or internal thought leadership is a plus.
  • A growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and enthusiasm for continuously improving how analytics can create measurable healthcare impact.
  • For remote work, access to a cable broadband or fiber-optic internet connection with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.
