Business Analyst - Mortgage Servicing Specialist

📍 Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office

💰 Pay Rate: $36-$39/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Servicing Specialist to support a high-touch servicing environment. This role will work directly with Financial Advisors, their teams, and Private Bankers to resolve complex mortgage servicing issues and escalations.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of mortgage servicing experience outside of loss mitigation or default, strong case-management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a high level of attention to detail. This position requires someone who can provide a white-glove client experience while independently managing multiple servicing issues through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Interface with Financial Advisors, their staff, and Private Bankers to resolve complex servicing issues and escalations.
• Review loan documentation and analyze issues related to insurance, escrow, taxes, payments, and other servicing matters .
• Provide a high-touch, single point of contact for Advisors and Bankers throughout the resolution process.
• Coordinate with the mortgage sub-servicer to ensure appropriate and timely resolution of servicing issues.
• Research account and payment histories and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
• Review documentation and determine appropriate next steps based on servicing requirements and established procedures.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accurate documentation and follow-up.
• Partner with internal teams and external servicing partners to drive issues to resolution.
• Identify recurring servicing issues and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality when handling sensitive loan information.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of mortgage servicing experience — loss mitigation/default experience alone does not qualify.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• General Microsoft Office experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and case-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity navigating a Microsoft Windows environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MSP / Black Knight servicing systems.
• Working knowledge of escrow analysis and escrow accounting.
• Familiarity with mortgage insurance requirements, including force placement and loss drafts.
• Knowledge of various mortgage products, including Interest-Only (IO), ARM, and HELOC loans.
• Ability to interpret and articulate payment and accounting history.
• Knowledge of mortgage servicing regulations and applicable compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with mortgage origination documents, including mortgages and promissory notes.
• Experience working directly with Financial Advisors, Private Bankers, or high-net-worth clients is a plus.
