About the Opportunity

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for a Business Analytics opportunity in Canada. This role is suitable for professionals who enjoy working with data, identifying business trends, generating insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

The selected candidate will work closely with business and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, analyze datasets, develop meaningful reports, and translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into actionable analytical solutions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and business performance metrics.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business objectives and define appropriate KPIs.
• Perform data validation, cleaning, and quality checks to ensure accuracy.
• Use analytical techniques to support forecasting, performance analysis, and business planning.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and business teams on analytical projects.
• Monitor key business metrics and provide regular insights to support decision-making.
• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of Excel and data analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing data.
• Experience or familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools .
• Understanding of business intelligence, KPIs, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent background in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Exposure to Python, R, or other analytical tools is an advantage.
• Experience working on business analytics, reporting, dashboarding, or data-driven projects.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and business requirements gathering is a plus.
