Business Analytics Leader

Mission Brief: Be the Analytical Brain Beside Every Decision-Maker at Lenskart

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who will sit shoulder-to-shoulder with Lenskart's functional leaders — the CEO, Business Heads, Supply Chain Head, Technology Head, and the leaders running our individual geographies — and turn data into the decisions that move the business forward.

You will not run a back-office reporting function. You will be a thinking partner in the room where strategy happens, translating the firehose of Lenskart's data into sharp, timely insight that changes what we do next. Your mandate is to make Lenskart's decision-making faster, sharper, and more AI-native than any retailer in the world.

The Context: Where Lenskart Already Is

You are not being asked to start from zero — you are being asked to take a fast-moving machine and accelerate it. Today at Lenskart, our meetings are transcribed and processed by our AI agents, our global technology and revenue roadmaps are part of the training context for our internal AI agents, and those agents already analyze weekly revenue trends on their own. Every Monday they surface what should be on the agenda for our weekly business reviews — what we're building, what's working, and what we're missing. Anonymized signals from Slack, email, and other communications flow into our analytics engine, which crisply summarizes the next steps for the organization.

That is the baseline. We are looking for someone who can natively operate in this environment and push it considerably further.

Core Mandate

1. Insight Partnership to Functional Leaders (The Decision Focus) Embed alongside the CEO, business heads, supply chain, technology, and geography leaders as their trusted analytics partner. Frame the right questions, pressure-test assumptions with data, and deliver the insight that drives concrete business decisions — pricing, assortment, expansion, capital allocation, and growth bets. Own the quality and speed of the insight that reaches the leadership table.

2. AI-First Transformation of Analytics & Decision-Making (The AI Focus) Be the fastest adopter — and the chief evangelist — of emerging AI tools, models, and analytics technologies across Lenskart. Reimagine how analysis itself is produced and consumed, moving the organization from dashboards-on-request toward autonomous, agent-driven insight. Set the standard for how decisions are made in an AI-native company and bring every function along with you.

3. Advancing Lenskart's AI & Analytics Systems (The Builder Focus) Take ownership of evolving our existing AI infrastructure — the meeting-intelligence pipelines, the roadmap-trained agents, the weekly revenue-trend analysis, and the communications summarization engine. Partner with Data Science and Engineering to extend these systems' reach, reliability, and sophistication, ensuring they remain a genuine competitive advantage rather than a novelty.

4. Cross-Functional Leadership & Adoption (The Culture Focus) Drive a data-and-AI-first decision-making culture across every function and geography. Challenge the status quo, raise the analytical bar of the leaders you support, and mentor a high-performing team of analysts who can operate at the pace of a high-growth global retailer.

The Essentials

• Track Record: A strong record of partnering directly with senior executives and influencing material business decisions through analytics, data science, or strategy/decision-support work.
• AI Fluency: Demonstrated, hands-on adoption of modern AI and analytics tooling (LLMs, agentic workflows, ML-driven forecasting and decision systems) — not as a spectator, but as an early and aggressive practitioner who has put these tools into real operational use.
• Technical Acumen: Deep, practical command of analytics and data — SQL and modern data stacks, statistical and ML modeling, and the ability to translate ambiguous business questions into rigorous, scalable analysis.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a highly quantitative field — Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, or similar.
