Business Analytics Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analytics Manager to lead analytics, reporting and insight generation across a dynamic, cross-functional business. This role will shape the analytics roadmap, improve data-driven decision-making, and deliver practical commercial and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the business analytics roadmap in line with commercial and operational priorities.
• Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Product teams to identify business questions, KPI requirements and high-value analytics use cases.
• Develop and maintain executive dashboards, performance reports and scalable self-service reporting tools.
• Establish clear, consistent KPI definitions and reporting standards across functions.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights, including trend analysis, root-cause investigation and clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Improve data quality, governance and documentation, including data ownership, metric definitions, validation rules and access controls.
• Work with internal technology or data teams to ensure data pipelines, reporting processes and analytics outputs are accurate, reliable and timely.
• Lead analytics initiatives such as forecasting, customer segmentation, cohort analysis, marketing effectiveness, attribution and operational optimisation.
• Manage project timelines, stakeholder expectations and, where relevant, mentor junior team members or external resources.

Requirements

• Around 7+ years' experience in business analytics, business intelligence, data analytics or a related discipline.
• Prior experience leading analytics projects, programmes or team members.
• Strong hands-on experience in KPI design, data modelling, reporting governance and dashboard development.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions and query optimisation.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar BI and visualisation platforms.
• Strong ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with cross-functional commercial teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to data quality frameworks, data integration concepts and reporting documentation.
• Experience in e-commerce, consumer goods, retail or another high-volume commercial environment is preferred.
• Python, forecasting, A/B testing, attribution modelling, CRM platforms and ERP/finance-system exposure will be advantageous.
