Business Application Development

Business Application Developer - This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining business applications that support our pharmaceutical operations and drive digital transformation across the organisation. As a Business Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying software solutions that enhance our business processes, improve operational efficiency, and support our strategic objectives in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement business applications that meet the specific needs of various departments across the pharmaceutical organisation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and application design.
• Perform thorough testing of developed applications to ensure quality, functionality, and compliance with business requirements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications, providing timely support to end-users.
• Maintain and update existing business applications to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Work with database administrators and system architects to design and optimise data structures and system architecture
• Document technical specifications, system designs, and development processes for future reference and knowledge sharing

What we're looking for:

• A degree in or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Information Systems, MIS or a related field.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in business application development, web application development, system enhancement, or a related IT development role
• Solid understanding of relational Databases and experience, SQL, Database management, data model
• Familiarity with software development frameworks and tools relevant to business application development
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and agile development practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience using AI tools or AI-assisted development for application development, automation, documentation, reporting, testing, or business process improvement will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry processes or healthcare information systems is a plus
