Business Central Developer

Job Title: Business Central Developer (L1/L2 Support – Retail)

Experience: 2–3 Years

Job Summary We are looking for a Business Central Developer with 2–3 years of experience in L1/L2 support within a retail environment, working on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The role involves supporting daily retail operations, resolving system issues, and implementing minor enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for Business Central in retail operations (POS, sales, inventory)
• Troubleshoot issues related to sales transactions, item pricing, discounts, and promotions
• Handle inventory issues (stock mismatch, item tracking, replenishment)
• Support POS integration and store-level issues
• Perform minor customizations and enhancements using AL
• Modify reports (Sales Invoice, POS receipts, stock reports – RDLC/Word)
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data correction and analysis
• Assist in data uploads, migrations, and reconciliations
• Coordinate with L3 team for complex bugs and enhancements

Required Skills

• Experience in AL development
• Knowledge of retail processes (POS, pricing, promotions, inventory etc.)
• Hands-on with RDLC / Word report customization
• Strong SQL skills
• Understanding of API integrations / POS systems
• Good troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in multi-store retail environment
• Knowledge of barcode, item variants, and pricing structures
• Exposure to Power BI / reporting tools

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and user-handling skills
• Ability to manage multiple store/user issues
• Quick problem-solving approach in live retail scenarios
