Business Co-Pilot

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Business Partnering

·         Act as trusted advisor to the Head of Marketing Communication.

·         Participate in strategic planning discussions.

·         Challenge assumptions and provide objective perspectives.

·         Translate business strategies into measurable financial and operational outcomes.

·         Recommend priorities and trade-offs among competing initiatives.

·         Identify business opportunities and risks.

2. Department Performance Management

·         Establish and govern department KPIs.

·         Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews.

·         Monitor achievement against annual targets.

·         Identify performance gaps and root causes.

·         Drive accountability for performance improvement actions.

·         Ensure performance discussions focus on business outcomes.

3. Financial Planning & Resource Allocation

·         Lead annual budget planning.

·         Drive forecasting and reforecasting cycles.

·         Evaluate investment priorities.

·         Review budget utilization.

·         Challenge non-value-adding expenditures.

·         Optimize allocation of resources across initiatives.

4. Decision Support & Business Case/Campaign Investments Governance

·         Oversee business case development.

·         Review investment proposals.

·         Lead scenario planning exercises.

·         Assess financial and operational implications of major decisions.

·         Provide leadership with objective recommendations.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

·         Build strong partnerships with:

·         Influence decisionmakers using data and analysis.

·         Facilitate alignment across stakeholders.

6. Team Leadership

·         Manage analyst performance.

·         Prioritize team workload.

·         Coach and develop analytical capabilities.

·         Ensure quality and consistency of outputs.

·         Promote use of AI and Copilot tools.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• CPA, CMA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage
• Financial Management - Budget Planning & Control, Forecasting, Financial Modelling, Investment Appraisal, Cost Management, ROI Analysis, Business Case Development
• Business Performance KPI Framework Design, Performance Management, Variance Analysis, Productivity Analysis, Resource Optimization
• Data & Technology, Advanced Excel, Power BI, Power Query, PowerPoint Storytelling, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Financial Analytics Tools
• 8-12 years of experience in: FP&A, Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering, Strategy & Planning
• Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Experience supporting senior executives and decision-making processes
• Experience leading budgeting and forecasting activities
• Experience presenting insights and recommendations to leadership teams
