Your role

Collaborate with the VTBA Head of Sustainability Excellence to develop and implement achievable and robust systems that promote the required levels of business continuity practice within the Vacuum Technique Business Area.

Serve as the enterprise authority for business continuity and operational resilience, responsible for defining strategy, governance, and standards across the organisation.

Provide expert leadership to senior stakeholders globally, manage a rolling three-year crisis management exercise programme, and partner with manufacturing sites to identify, assess, and mitigate continuity risks.

Utilize strategic influence, technical expertise, and organizational leadership to strengthen resilience capabilities; ensure the organisation can effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from significant business disruptions; and fulfill the business continuity needs of the Group and major customers.

Your day-to-day

  • Collaborate with General Managers, Operations Leaders, and Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) teams to identify and assess resilience risks affecting business continuity.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of critical operational dependencies, identify single points of failure, and evaluate existing recovery arrangements at manufacturing sites to ensure robustness against disruptions.
  • Provide expert guidance and challenge leadership on the effectiveness and feasibility of mitigation plans, supporting continuous improvement of business continuity strategies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions that promote proactive risk identification and drive the implementation of resilient operational processes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Support the development and maintenance of business continuity policies, protocols, and training materials to enhance organizational preparedness.
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends and regulations related to business continuity and resilience, ensuring company practices remain compliant and forward-thinking.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven experience in business continuity management or related risk assessment fields within manufacturing or industrial settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex operational systems and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with leaders at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge and advise senior stakeholders constructively and diplomatically.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks in business continuity and risk management such as ISO 22301 is preferred.
  • A collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with diverse multidisciplinary teams and drive consensus.
  • Proficiency in preparing clear and concise written reports, along with confident presentation skills.
