Business Controller

Summary The main purpose of the Business Controller role is to serve as a Finance Business Partner, responsible for budgetary oversight and financial performance analysis across multiple departments. This includes preparing budgets, forecasting financial outcomes, and providing insights to support management decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and forecasts.
• Perform variance analyses and identify drivers behind financial deviations.
• Challenge budget assumptions and requests for additional funding.
• Provide clear explanations of financial results to management.
• Collaborate with senior managers to assess business developments and financial needs.
• Utilize SAP and analytical objects for accurate financial monitoring and reporting.
• Deliver actionable financial insights to support management decision-making.

Key Requirements:

• Master's Degree in economy, finance, or management.
• Demonstrable experience as a Business Controller.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior financial role.
• Expertise in analytical objects and cost allocation structures.
• High proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot tables).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in French or Dutch with proficiency in the other language.
• Proven experience in large organizations.
• Experience with SAP.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Distribution Grid Operator (DGO).
• Experience interacting with senior management.
• Experience with S/4 HANA.
