The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to join our team at a leading life
insurance company in Thailand. As a Business Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and
interpreting data to provide actionable insights, enhance business strategies, and optimize operational
processes. Your expertise in SQL, Power BI, and data storytelling with executives will be vital in transforming
complex data sets into meaningful visualizations, reports, and impactful presentations.
Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Utilize SQL to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present data-driven insights to stakeholders, including management, business teams, and clients.
• Apply data storytelling techniques to effectively communicate insights and trends to executives and key decision-makers, enabling them to make informed strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, translate them into data analysis tasks, and provide analytical solutions.
• Perform data analysis and interpretation to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities, contributing to strategic decision-making and process improvement initiatives.
• Conduct in-depth data investigations to identify anomalies, outliers, and data quality issues, taking proactive measures to resolve and prevent such issues.
• Work closely with the IT team to ensure efficient data governance, data modeling, and data storage practices.
• Conduct ad-hoc data analyses as requested by stakeholders and provide accurate and timely reports to support business needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in data analytics techniques and tools, and apply them to improve data analysis processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Statistics.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools to create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Solid understanding of data analysis concepts and techniques, including data modeling, data validation, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to identify data quality issues and develop solutions.
• Familiarity with life insurance products, underwriting processes, and actuarial concepts is highly desirable.
