Mission

SUEZ is a major player in environmental services. For almost 160 years, SUEZ has supported local communities and industrial companies in the management of essential services such as water, waste, and air quality. As such, SUEZ produces drinking water for 66 million people worldwide, recovers 2 million tons of secondary raw materials per year, and generates 3.1 TWh of renewable energy from waste.

You will join SUEZ Europe, a Business Unit (BU) looking to achieve significant growth in its Water and Waste activities in the countries selected in the Group's strategic roadmap for the medium-term plan. The ambition is strong, and the BU wants to develop its activities notably in the countries where it is currently active (Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy). Additionally, Suez also keeps a close eye on the market, so that we can potentially develop in other countries in the region.

SUEZ Poland operates different businesses related to the water and waste treatment: development of new water projects (from the design and build of water treatment plants, to their operation and maintenance), development of Energy from Waste projects, and delivery of smart solutions products, and services to water utilities.

We are looking for a Business Development Analyst to join our team and support the growth of our waste management business.

About the Role

As a Business Development Analyst, you will work closely with the Business Development Director to identify market opportunities, support strategic growth initiatives, and assess the commercial viability of waste management projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to major infrastructure, environmental and energy-from-waste projects while influencing business decisions through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct market research and competitive analysis across the waste management, recycling, circular economy, and environmental services sectors.

Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and investment opportunities.

Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and target clients.

Support the Business Development Director in assessing strategic growth initiatives and project opportunities.

Prepare business cases, feasibility studies, market assessments, and commercial analyses.

Develop and maintain financial models, profitability assessments, and investment evaluations.

Support the preparation of bids, proposals, and tender submissions.

Prepare management presentations, reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations.

Analyze project budgets, costs, revenues, and key performance indicators.

Coordinate inputs from technical, operational, legal, and finance teams during project development.

Maintain and develop CRM tools, business development databases, and market intelligence resources.

Support stakeholder engagement activities with municipalities, industrial clients, partners, and consultants.

Collaborate with local and international SUEZ teams on business development projects.

Provide data-driven insights to support management decision-making and business strategy.Our Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, strategy, consulting, market intelligence or business development.

Excellent English language skills (daily business communication).

Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Strong stakeholder management and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of the waste management industry.

PPP project experience.

Knowledge of circular economy and sustainability trends.

Power BI or Tableau experience.

French language skills.
