MISSION

As a Business Development & Data Analyst Intern, you will support EMS in building a clear end-to-end view of the business by connecting information from different data sources and transforming it into meaningful business insights.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business data analysis, data integration, and cross-functional collaboration while working with business teams, IT, and CRM to better understand how data can support business decision-making across the organization.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Data Management

• Map the main data sources used across the business
• Understand what information is available in CRM, ERP, connected devices, e-shop, service and internal databases
• Identify how customers, accounts, devices, sales and service activities should be linked
• Identify missing information, inconsistencies and data-quality issues
• Document the business logic and matching rules between systems

Data Integration & Consolidation

• Work with available data extracts to consolidate information from different sources
• Reconcile customer, device and sales information across systems
• Define the expected handshake between the different datasets
• Work with IT and CRM teams when technical access, system changes or integration is required
• Help establish a reliable common view of customers, installed base and commercial activity

Business Analysis & Decision Support

• Analyse the consolidated data to understand how the business is evolving
• Identify trends by customer, region, market or product
• Compare installed base, device usage, sales and customer activity
• Highlight anomalies, risks and potential business opportunities
• Build simple dashboards and recurring analyses to support decision-making
• Prepare clear management summaries and recommendations

KEY PROJECTS

• Create a clear map of EMS business data sources
• Define how customers, devices and commercial data can be linked across systems
• Build a consolidated customer and installed-base view
• Identify the main data-quality and visibility gaps
• Develop the first recurring business trends and dashboards
• Recommend next priorities to improve business data usage

EDUCATION & PERSONAL SKILLS

• Final-year Master student in Management, Business Analytics, Economics, HEC or equivalent
• Strong business mindset and interest in how data can support growth and decision-making
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI or similar BI tools are an advantage
• Comfortable working with large and imperfect datasets and understanding how information can be linked across systems
• Basic SQL knowledge is an advantage, but programming and technical system integration are not required
• Strong analytical and structured thinking; able to translate numbers into clear business conclusions
• Proactive, curious and comfortable working across departments
• Fluent in English; French is a strong asset

INTERNSHIP DETAILS

• Location: Nyon, Switzerland
• Start date: January 2027
• Duration: 6 to 12 months
