Business Development & Market Development Consultant

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor building materials pricing, competitor activity and market developments across key Australian cities, and provide regular market updates.
• Engage with distributors, builders, architects and stakeholders to understand market needs and develop business opportunities.
• Develop and manage relationships with distributors and other channel partners to support market entry and sustainable business growth.
• Coordinate technical information, product samples and shipment arrangements to support customer evaluation and business development activities.
• Support product testing and compliance with relevant Australian building standards.

Qualifications:

• Legal right to work in Australia and ability to operate as an independent contractor.
• Minimum 1 year in B2B sales, business development or market research in building materials or construction.
• Knowledge of the Australian construction supply chain; an existing network is a strong plus.
• Strong presentation and report-writing skills.
• Able to work independently and travel within Australia as required.
• Experience with fiber cement, cladding, boards or decking products. (preferred)
• An existing network of distributors, builders, architects or developers in Australia. (preferred)
• Familiarity with Australian building standards and product testing or certification. (preferred)
