Business Development & Technical Support Manager (Food Testing Service)

We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic Business Development & Technical Support Manager to drive business growth, identify new market opportunities, and strengthen relationships with customers, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders within the food industry.

This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Food Testing, Laboratory Services, Regulatory Affairs, Food Industry, or Technical Business Development, who are passionate about developing new services and creating business opportunities from industry trends and regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive business growth by expanding food testing services and identifying new market opportunities

• Develop strategic partnerships and strengthen market positioning within the food industry

• Identify opportunities for new testing services based on market demand, industry trends, and regulatory developments

• Support long-term business development and market expansion initiatives

• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulators, and industry associations

• Leverage regulatory trends and public sector initiatives to support business growth opportunities

• Develop strong relationships with key customers, food manufacturers, buyers, and multinational clients

• Support business expansion opportunities arising from customer needs and industry developments

• Provide professional consultation and technical support to customers regarding testing services and compliance requirements

• Support Sales teams in technical discussions, customer meetings, and complaint handling

• Provide technical consultation on testing scope, methods, sample requirements, and laboratory capabilities

• Coordinate with QA and laboratory teams to support issue resolution and risk mitigation

• Ensure customer requirements are aligned with laboratory capabilities and ISO/IEC 17025 standards

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, Laboratory, and Quality teams to ensure smooth service delivery

• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency

• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and capability development within the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food testing laboratories, technical services, certification business, or related industries
• At least 2 years of experience in managerial, technical sales, or business development roles
• Strong understanding of laboratory operations and ISO/IEC 17025 environment
• Experience working with regulatory authorities or government stakeholders is highly preferred
• Strong technical-commercial mindset with the ability to balance business growth and compliance
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Thai and English
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities
• Strategic thinking with strong market awareness and analytical skills
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear customer value
• Leadership skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration
• Data-driven mindset with experience in KPI tracking and reporting
• Flexible to travel domestically to customer sites, government agencies, or business meetings as required.
