Business Development Associate

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Analysis:

• Assist in the marketing and financial aspects project analysis from data gathering, analysis and reporting of results to support business decisions.

• Analyze projects’ projected financial statements to determine the projects’ viability

• Identify and interpret marketing, financial trends and economic events that have implications to the company’s development plans.

• Collaborate with various departments and external sources to gather data and assumptions for needed for evaluating projects and business decisions.

2. Reporting:

• Prepare comprehensive reports for the Vice President of Business Development and other senior management.

• Develop and maintain financial dashboards that provide actionable insights.

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

3. Data Management:

• Maintain and improve databases and systems for projects, industry and economic information ensuring accuracy and reliability.

• Implement and monitor controls to guarantee the integrity and confidentiality of data.

• Utilize data visualization tools to present complex financial information and other business development reports in understandable format.

4. Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct market research to identify industry trends, growth opportunities, and competitive landscapes in industries where the company has interests.

• Analyze macroeconomic factors and their potential impacts on the business.

• Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to support strategic planning.

5. Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, and operations, to support financial planning and analysis activities.

• Provide financial support for business development initiatives.

• Assist in the preparation of business cases and financial models for new projects and investments.

6. Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial analysis and reporting.

• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial processes.

• Stay updated with best practices in financial analysis and reporting and integrate them into the company’s processes.

7. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all financial activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.

• Assist in preparing documentation required for audits and regulatory reviews.

• Stay current with financial regulations and standards to ensure compliance.

8. Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects:

• Perform ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as required by the Vice President of Business Development.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations for various strategic initiatives.

• Support the development of financial presentations for board meetings and other executive sessions.
