You'll be one of the first points of contact for prospective clients, responsible for responding to enquiries, nurturing leads, and building a consistent pipeline of qualified discovery calls.
This is a hands-on business development role with a balance of inbound lead management and outbound prospecting. You'll work closely with our Director, join discovery calls from day one, and develop your skills in qualifying prospects and contributing to new business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Lead Management: Respond promptly to new enquiries from Meta advertising campaigns via phone, SMS, and email, following a structured follow-up process.
- Lead Nurturing: Maintain regular communication with prospective clients who aren't ready to proceed, and confirm upcoming discovery calls to maximise attendance.
- Outbound Prospecting: Research professional firms and build prospect lists, conducting outreach through cold calling, email, and LinkedIn.
- Referral and Lead Reactivation: Reconnect with previous leads and generate referral opportunities in collaboration with the Director.
- Lead Qualification: Assess prospects against established criteria, including conducting background checks on businesses, before scheduling discovery calls.
- Discovery Call Support: Book qualified appointments, prepare prospect briefs, and attend discovery calls with the Director to support the sales process.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all outreach activities, lead information, and next steps, ensuring the CRM is updated on the same day.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in business development, appointment setting, sales development, lead generation, or a similar outbound sales role.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with a warm, confident, and professional communication style.
- Comfortable making cold calls, handling objections, and following up consistently with prospective clients.
- Strong written communication skills across email, SMS, and LinkedIn.
- Experience using a CRM system and maintaining accurate records.
- A proactive, organised, and results-driven approach to managing leads and sales activities.
- Reliable internet connection, a quiet home workspace, and the ability to work during Adelaide business hours.
Nice To Have
- Experience working with Australian or other Western B2B clients.
- Exposure to professional services industries, particularly finance, legal, real estate, or related sectors.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach, Sales Navigator, and email sequencing tools.
- Experience managing and following up leads generated through paid social media campaigns, particularly Meta ads.
What We're Looking For
- Fast and disciplined: Understands the importance of responding to leads quickly and follows a consistent routine.
- Resilient: Stays motivated through unanswered calls, follow-ups, and rejection.
- Curious and attentive: Asks thoughtful questions and listens carefully to understand a prospect's needs.
- Coachable: Welcomes feedback and continuously looks for ways to improve.
- Sound judgement: Knows how to identify suitable prospects, qualify opportunities, and protect the Director's time.
What Success Looks Like You'll be successful in this role by consistently responding to inbound enquiries promptly, maintaining outbound prospecting activity, booking qualified discovery calls, and helping improve attendance and conversion rates.
Your performance targets will be established with you once you join the team, with expectations adjusted proportionately for part-time hours where applicable.
