Job Summary
RECAM Solutions is seeking a results-driven, senior Business Development Director to lead client acquisition strategy and execution for the U.S. market. This individual will drive new business origination,
shape RECAM's go-to-market positioning, and elevate RECAM's visibility within the commercial real estate and lease administration community — including through strategic representation at industry events and associations.
This is a senior, hands-on origination role — not an account management or general business development position. We are looking exclusively for candidates who have personally sourced and closed lease abstraction or lease administration outsourcing engagements, who understand how CRE owners, property managers, REITs, and financial institutions make outsourcing decisions, and who bring an active, current network of buyers in this specific niche.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Strategy
– Own and drive RECAM's U.S. client acquisition strategy, including target segmentation, pipeline forecasting, and revenue target setting
– Identify, prospect, and close new lease abstraction/lease administration outsourcing engagements with commercial property owners, REITs, property management firms, brokerages, and financial institutions
– Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, proposal, negotiation, close
– Demonstrated ability to close outsourcing engagements at meaningful scale (large lease portfolios, multi-site or multi-state accounts)
– Represent RECAM Solutions at relevant CRE industry events, conferences, and association gatherings, shaping the firm's market positioning and generating qualified leads
Relationship & Account Management
– Build long-term client relationships that drive repeat business and referrals
– Act as primary client point of contact through close, ensuring smooth handoff to delivery teams
Market Intelligence
– Track competitor activity, pricing, and positioning within lease abstraction/lease administration outsourcing
– Feed market insight into RECAM's service positioning, pricing strategy, and proposal development
Proposal & Reporting
– Partner with internal teams to build tailored proposals and service agreements
– Report on pipeline, client acquisition, and revenue metrics to leadership
As U.S. operations scale, this role carries potential to build and lead a broader business development function.
Required Qualifications
– 20+ years in lease administration or lease abstraction — no substitution with general CRE or unrelated sales background
– 10+ years specifically in a Business Development, Sales, or Client Acquisition–titled role within lease abstraction or lease administration outsourcing (account management, client services, or delivery-titled roles do not qualify — this role requires a proven originator, not a relationship manager)
– Demonstrated track record of sourcing and closing lease abstraction/administration outsourcing engagements at meaningful scale (large lease portfolios, multi-site or multi-state accounts)
– An established, currently active network of buyers/decision-makers in this niche — including relevant CRE brokers, corporate real estate professionals, and lease administration decision-makers — this is a hard requirement, not a “plus”
– Demonstrated, current engagement in the lease abstraction/administration outsourcing market — evidenced by an active buyer network, ongoing industry relationships, or recent deal activity in this space
– Demonstrated experience selling and closing deals involving an offshore or hybrid delivery model — not solely domestically-delivered outsourcing
– Proven fluency across at least two of the following buyer segments: REITs, third-party property management firms, CRE brokerages, financial institutions
– Working knowledge of lease abstraction processes, lease admin platforms (MRI, Yardi, Visual Lease, Lucernex, Accruent), and how outsourcing engagements are structured and priced
– Commercial real estate brokers are eligible only with specific, verifiable deals sourced or closed in lease abstraction/lease administration outsourcing at meaningful scale — general brokerage or leasing transaction experience alone does not qualify
– Valid U.S. work authorization required
Industry Associations & Events
Active membership, involvement, or an established presence in industry associations and events such as the following is strongly preferred:
– ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centres)
– CoreNet Global
– IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management)
– BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association)
– NAIOP
– IAMC (Industrial Asset Management Council)
Skills & Competencies
– Deep working knowledge of lease abstraction/administration outsourcing economics and how deals are scoped and priced
– Consultative selling approach tailored to CRE owners, property managers, and financial institutions
– Skilled at contract negotiation for outsourcing service agreements
– Strong, currently active network across CRE ownership, property management, and brokerage circles
– Comfortable and credible representing RECAM at industry conferences and association events
– CRM proficiency and disciplined pipeline management
– Working knowledge of U.S. commercial lease structures and lease accounting basics (ASC 842/IFRS 16)
– Willingness to travel as required for client engagements and industry events
Nice to Have
– Leadership role or active participation in one or more of the associations listed above
– Familiarity with AI-enabled lease abstraction platforms and how they influence outsourcing value propositions
– MBA or related advanced degree
What We Offer
– An opportunity to lead client acquisition for a growing company in the lease abstraction and administration domain
– Flexibility and autonomy to drive initiatives and deliver results
– A collaborative and supportive work environment
Compensation
Competitive and negotiable, structured around experience and fit — details discussed directly with shortlisted candidates.
