A leading global provider of engineered fixing and fastening solutions is looking for a technically capable Business Development Engineer to support its continued growth in Malaysia.

About the Role

The Business Development Engineer will be responsible for growing the company’s presence in Malaysia through a combination of product specification, technical engagement and distributor development.

This is a hybrid technical-commercial role that will work closely with engineering consultants, architects, designers, contractors and distribution partners. The successful candidate will deliver technical presentations, recommend engineered solutions and conduct product demonstrations and training to support the correct application and specification of the company’s solutions.

The role will also develop joint business plans with distributors, identify project opportunities, support technical and commercial proposals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline. Diploma holders with strong relevant experience may also be considered.

Candidates should have approximately 2–5 years of experience within the construction or engineering industry, with exposure to both technical and commercial responsibilities such as engineering design, site support, technical sales, business development or distributor management. A good understanding of anchoring, fastening or related construction solutions would be advantageous.
