What they need
About Green Rebel
Green Rebel specialises in offshore data acquisition, delivery, analytics and consultancy, supporting the development of offshore renewable energy and marine infrastructure projects.
Our team of scientists, engineers, surveyors and analysts combines specialist technical expertise with dedicated survey vessels and proprietary measurement technology to deliver high-quality data and insights.
Green Rebel's mission is to support the development of offshore renewable energy globally, providing the reliable environmental and technical data that developers and other stakeholders need to make informed decisions and deliver commercially and environmentally sustainable projects.
Green Rebel operates across two primary divisions: Geophysical & Hydrographic Survey and Metocean. Our seabed survey operations are based in Cork, while our Metocean division operates from a purpose-built production and engineering facility in Limerick.
Green Rebel is committed to continued growth, innovation and sustainability, while providing a positive working environment where employee wellbeing, professional development and career progression are central to our values.
The Role
Green Rebel is recruiting a Business Development Engineer to support the continued growth of our Metocean business.
This is a technical and commercial role combining business development, client engagement and tender management. The successful candidate will help identify and develop new opportunities, prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals, and progress opportunities through to contract award.
Working closely with our Engineering, Operations, Projects and Data Science teams, the Business Development Engineer will develop solutions to meet client measurement requirements, drawing on Green Rebel's proprietary floating lidar technology and wider metocean capabilities.
We are looking for someone with strong technical aptitude, commercial awareness and the initiative to take ownership of opportunities and deliver results. Previous business development experience is welcome but not essential.
The role will ideally be based at our Metocean facility in Limerick, although Cork will also be considered for the right candidate. Regular engagement with our technical and operational teams in Limerick will be an important part of the position.
