Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Business Development Executive to drive the growth of Foxy Nail, our nail salon at 46 High Street, Epping. This role is central to expanding our client base, building commercial partnerships, and creating new revenue streams, allowing the business to grow beyond its current walk-in and social media bookings.

Reporting directly to the Director and working closely with the Salon Manager, the successful candidate will identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop relationships with local businesses and corporate clients, convert our strong social media following into bookings, and support the Director’s long-term plans for expansion, including research into new locations and partnership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities to grow the salon’s client base and increase monthly revenue.
  • Develop and manage commercial partnerships with local businesses such as bridal boutiques, wedding and event planners, hotels, gyms, spas, and photographers to generate referral and group bookings.
  • Secure corporate and group bookings, including staff wellbeing days, hen parties, prom and special-occasion packages, and seasonal events.
  • Design and launch new revenue streams such as membership schemes, prepaid treatment packages, gift vouchers, and loyalty offers, in collaboration with the Salon Manager.
  • Convert enquiries and engagement from our Instagram and Facebook pages into confirmed bookings, and manage a pipeline of leads from first contact through to conversion.
  • Plan and coordinate promotional campaigns, influencer and content creator collaborations, and local community events to raise brand awareness in Epping and surrounding areas.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis on pricing, service trends, and customer demand, and present recommendations to the Director.
  • Support the Director in evaluating expansion opportunities, including research into potential new locations and the preparation of business cases.
  • Track and report on sales performance, lead conversion, and campaign results using key performance indicators, and propose actions to meet revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners to maximise repeat business and client retention.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, ideally within the beauty, wellness, hospitality, or retail sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with confidence in approaching and presenting to potential partners.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and Facebook, and how to use them to generate leads and bookings.
  • Ability to carry out market research and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Good commercial awareness, including an understanding of pricing, promotions, and customer acquisition.
  • Well organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple leads and projects at once.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in business, marketing, or a related field is desirable.

Benefits

  • Salary of £33,400 per annum
  • 28 days of paid holiday per year (including public holidays)
  • Opportunity to play a key role in the growth and expansion of a growing, high-quality nail salon with a loyal client base
  • Supportive and inclusive working environment
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  • Staff discounts on salon services and products
  • Flexible work scheduling where operationally possible
  • Ongoing training in sales, business development, and industry best practices

Pay: £33,400.00-£35,000.00 per year
