About The Nailounge
The Nailounge, trading under The Nail People Limited, is a premium nail and beauty salon established in 2024 and located in the heart of Chiswick, London. The salon offers a sophisticated and welcoming environment for clients seeking high-end nail and beauty treatments, including manicures, pedicures, gel and acrylic enhancements, nail extensions, and bespoke nail artistry.
Since opening, The Nailounge has grown from five to ten employees and has invested significantly in its growth, including a basement expansion to offer additional services, a digital loyalty programme, online booking through Fresha and Treatwell, and testing of new products to broaden its service offering. The business is also pursuing the acquisition of Hill Nails at 54 Westbourne Grove, W2 5SH, as the first step in establishing a multi-location presence across West London.
The company is now seeking a dedicated Business Development Executive to identify and secure new revenue opportunities, build commercial partnerships, and drive the salon’s expansion during this critical phase of growth.
Role Overview
The Business Development Executive will play a commercially essential role in growing the salon’s revenue, client base, and market presence. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building partnerships with local businesses and corporate clients, supporting the acquisition and integration of Hill Nails, and ensuring the salon’s recent investments translate into measurable growth.
This is a results-driven, externally focused position. Working closely with the Salon Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing growth plans, managing a pipeline of new business, negotiating partnership agreements, and reporting on commercial performance across current and future locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth Strategy & Market Research
- Develop and implement a structured business development plan aligned with the salon’s expansion and acquisition objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis across West London to identify gaps in the market, pricing opportunities, and underserved client segments.
- Set and track measurable growth targets, including new client acquisition, revenue per location, and partnership-generated bookings.
- Identify and evaluate further opportunities for expansion, including potential new sites and acquisition targets, and prepare business cases for the Director.
2. Partnerships & Corporate Client Development
- Identify, approach, and secure commercial partnerships with complementary local businesses such as bridal boutiques, wedding and event planners, hotels, gyms, spas, and hair salons.
- Develop corporate wellbeing packages and group booking offers for local employers, and manage these accounts on an ongoing basis.
- Negotiate partnership terms, referral arrangements, and co-promotional agreements that deliver measurable returns.
- Build relationships with suppliers and brands to secure favourable terms, exclusive products, and joint promotional opportunities.
3. Lead Generation & Sales Conversion
- Generate and qualify new business leads through networking, local events, direct outreach, and online enquiries.
- Manage a structured sales pipeline from first contact through to confirmed bookings or signed partnership agreements.
- Maximise commercial performance on Fresha and Treatwell by working with the team on offers, packages, and listing visibility.
- Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to prospective partners and corporate clients.
4. Expansion & Acquisition Support
- Support the Director in the commercial due diligence, planning, and completion of the Hill Nails acquisition.
- Develop and implement a client retention plan to secure Hill Nails’ existing clients and introduce them to The Nailounge’s enhanced service offering.
- Coordinate the alignment of pricing, service menus, packages, and loyalty schemes across both locations.
- Build local partnerships and a client base in the Westbourne Grove area to support the new branch’s growth.
5. New Services & Revenue Streams
- Lead the commercial launch of new services made possible by the basement expansion and the new products currently being tested.
- Develop and introduce new revenue streams such as treatment packages, memberships, gift vouchers, and retail product sales.
- Assess the commercial viability of new services and products, including pricing, demand, and expected return on investment.
6. Client Retention & Account Management
- Use data from the digital loyalty programme to identify high-value clients and opportunities to increase repeat visits and average spend.
- Develop referral schemes and client retention initiatives to increase customer lifetime value.
- Maintain strong long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and corporate accounts.
7. Performance Reporting & Commercial Analysis
- Monitor and analyse sales, booking, partnership, and revenue data across all locations.
- Produce structured monthly business development reports for the Director, including progress against targets.
- Evaluate the return on business development investments and recommend where resources should be focused.
- Ensure data-led decision-making across all growth initiatives.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, ideally within beauty, wellness, retail, hospitality, or luxury service sectors.
- Demonstrated track record of generating new business and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Experience conducting market research and analysing commercial data to identify growth opportunities.
- Understanding of online booking platforms and digital channels as tools for client acquisition.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting business expansion, multi-site operations, or acquisitions is desirable.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in business, marketing, or a related field is desirable.
