Business Development Executive

About the role

This role involves attending to customer enquiries and coordinating with relevant departments on quotations, price negotiations, payments, quality issues, delivery schedules, inventory, orders and other related matters. You will liaise with customers on new products and development activities, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure products are developed on time and cost-effectively. You will support the expansion of the company's product offerings and market presence within the automotive industry by identifying new customers and servicing existing domestic OEM customers.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to customer enquiries and coordinate with relevant departments on quotations, price negotiations, payments, quality issues, delivery schedules, inventory, orders and other related matters
• Liaise with customers on new products and development activities, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure products are developed on time and cost-effectively
• Support the expansion of the company's product offerings and market presence within the automotive industry by identifying new customers and servicing existing domestic OEM customers
• Identify and follow up on product localization opportunities with OEM customers
• Work closely with customers and internal teams to understand market pricing, customer needs and product requirements
• Coordinate with customers and relevant departments on production forecasts to support material and production planning
• Monitor automotive industry developments and customer demand trends, and assist in reviewing the accuracy of demand forecasts
• Maintain good working relationships with customers and technical support partners

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering (Automotive) or a related discipline, or equivalent

• At least 2–3 years of relevant working experience in business development, sales or the manufacturing industry

• Automotive industry experience

• Able to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Good writing, interpersonal and computer skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at different levels

• Self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn

• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin, both written and spoken

• Good coordination, follow-up and project management skills

• Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
