Business Development Executive – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking a talented and driven Business Development to join our dynamic team at AVEON GLOBAL TRANSPORTS SDN BHD. As a key member of our freight forwarding division, you will be responsible for driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence in the Shah Alam Selangor region.

What you'll be doing

1. Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the freight forwarding industry
2. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients
3. Preparing and presenting compelling proposals and pitches to secure new business
4. Collaborating with the operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients
5. Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
6. Providing regular updates and reports on sales performance and pipeline
7. Participating in industry events and networking activities to promote the company's services

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar business development or sales role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry
2. Strong understanding of the freight forwarding industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs
3. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders
4. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering successful client acquisition
5. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with CRM tools
7. A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
