Business Development Executive (Home Services / Technology Platform)

Summary

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to grow and manage our network of service professionals on a home services platform. You will be responsible for sourcing, onboarding and training renovation contractors, plumbers, electricians and other service providers, while supporting them to perform well, win more customers and grow their businesses.

This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, hardworking, people-oriented and commercially driven, with good communication and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

• Identify and source suitable renovation contractors, plumbers, electricians and other home service professionals.
• Understand the requirements for different service categories and locations, and recruit suitable professionals to join the platform.
• Onboard and verify service professionals to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Train and guide new service professionals on how to use the platform and maximise customer opportunities.
• Assist service professionals with quotations and advise them on strategies to improve their chances of winning jobs.
• Build and maintain good relationships with service professionals and support them in growing their businesses.
• Monitor the performance and service quality of professionals and address any issues when required.
• Generate a consistent flow of credit purchases and engagement from service professionals.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure customers are matched with suitable professionals who can deliver quality service, competitive pricing and meet the required timelines.
• Use basic data and analytics to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the home improvement, renovation, property or related industry.
• Experience in business development, sales, operations or contractor/vendor management will be an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, provided you are hardworking, bright, proactive and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable engaging and building relationships with contractors and service professionals.
• Commercially minded with a willingness to work towards targets.
• Good problem-solving and basic analytical skills.
• Able to understand people's needs and find practical solutions.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as Google Sheets, Docs and Slides.

Working Hours/Days

• Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM); Hybrid working arrangement
