Business Development / Finance Associate

About the role

PT Vela Prima Nusantara is looking for a highly analytical, commercially minded, and detail-oriented Business Development and Finance professional to join our growing Business Development team. This role is not narrowly defined as finance. The successful candidate will work across business development, financial analysis, strategic planning, transportation economics, investor relations, and commercial strategy, working directly with the Director of Business Development and management team. The ideal candidate combines strong financial and analytical capabilities with commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. This position is particularly suited to someone who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment where responsibilities can extend beyond a traditional job description.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing, refining, and implementing the company's business development strategy
• Conduct market research and industry analysis, particularly within the transportation and aviation sectors
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, investments, and commercial projects
• Prepare feasibility studies and commercial analyses for prospective opportunities
• Develop, maintain, and continuously refine detailed financial models
• Prepare financial projections, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow analyses
• Analyze revenue models, operating costs, margins, capital requirements, and investment returns
• Analyze the economics of transportation operations and aircraft operating economics
• Support the development and maintenance of relationships with existing and prospective investors
• Prepare investor presentations, financial analyses, investment proposals, and supporting documentation

About you

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Previous professional experience in the transportation industry is required
• Previous experience in aviation is highly preferred
• Previous experience in investor relations, fundraising, investment analysis, or direct interaction with investors is required
• Strong financial analysis and business modeling capabilities
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including financial modeling, formulas, scenario analysis, and data manipulation
• Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Professional fluency in Bahasa Indonesia
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
