Business Development Intern

About the role

This 6-month Sales & Business Development Internship Programme gives you practical exposure to the business development process — from identifying potential clients and making the first approach, to preparing proposals, attending meetings and following up on opportunities. You'll work closely with the Sales and Operations teams and gain an understanding of how new business opportunities are developed within the cleaning and facilities management industry.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential clients and business opportunities
• Build and maintain prospect lists
• Support outreach through calls, emails and other channels
• Keep track of leads and follow-up activities
• Learn how to approach and communicate with prospective clients
• Assist with enquiries from potential customers
• Participate in client meetings and discussions where applicable
• Assist with the preparation of quotations and proposals
• Support tender and business opportunity research
• Conduct basic market and competitor research

About you

• Students or fresh graduates in Business, Sales, Marketing or related disciplines
• Comfortable speaking with people
• Willing to take initiative
• Organised with follow-ups
• Interested in learning how businesses acquire new clients
